Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Puffin Quest you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Your account

• Provide a valid email address, username and password, or sign in with Google or Apple.
• Keep your login credentials secure.
• Do not create accounts to abuse the platform or its community.
• One person, one account. Multiple accounts may be suspended.

3. Acceptable use

• Be honest — submit genuine photos and complete quests for real.
• Be kind — treat fellow puffineers with respect in the Review Cove and everywhere else.
• Be safe — never put yourself or others in danger to complete a quest.
• Be appropriate — don't submit offensive, harmful or inappropriate content.

4. Prohibited conduct

• Photos with nudity, violence, hate speech or illegal content.
• Harassing, bullying or threatening other users.
• Bots, scripts or automation to complete quests or manipulate the game.
• Exploiting bugs instead of reporting them.
• Impersonating other users or Green Up Labs staff.
• Commercial use without our permission.

5. Content you submit

• You keep ownership of your photos and content.
• You grant Green Up Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display your content within Puffin Quest (e.g. Review Cove, public profiles).
• Photos are checked automatically; we may hide or remove content that breaks these terms, and other players can report it.
• You can block another player: you won't see each other's posts or reviews in the Review Cove, and you won't be matched in fights.
• You are responsible for the content you submit.

6. Review Cove & community

• Review honestly — approve genuine completions and reject fakes.
• Don't mass-approve or mass-reject without looking.
• Abusing reviews or reports may lead to account restrictions.

7. Puffins & rewards

• Puffins, streaks and in-app rewards have no monetary value.
• Green Up Labs may adjust point values, rewards and game mechanics at any time.
• Streak freezes and other protective features are provided as-is and may change.

8. Tree planting campaign (True Quest)

• Green Up Labs commits to planting trees based on community quest completions as described in the True Quest campaign.
• Campaign terms (dates, thresholds, tree counts) are shown in the app and may be updated.
• Trees are planted through verified environmental partners.

9. City Challenges & location

• City Challenges need your location and a photo to verify a landmark visit.
• Location sharing is optional — every other feature works without it.
• Always put safety first. Never trespass or enter restricted areas.
• Green Up Labs is not responsible for incidents during City Challenges.

10. Intellectual property

The Puffin Quest name, logo, puffin mascot and all original content, design and code belong to Green Up Labs. Do not copy, modify or distribute any part of the platform without permission.

11. Suspension & deletion

• We may suspend or ban accounts that break these terms.
• You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
• When you delete your account, your personal data and photos are removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Puffin Quest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running smoothly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Up Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of Puffin Quest.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continuing to use Puffin Quest after changes means you accept them. We will tell you in the app about significant changes.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
